Fire safety officers and K9 security units

For venues open to the public, building sites, large estates and events that call for wider cover.

Two trades, one standard

Fire safety and K9 security are two regulated activities, each with its own qualifications. The SSIAP fire safety officer prevents fire risk, monitors the installations, guides evacuation and receives the emergency services. The K9 handler and dog form a unit able to cover a wide perimeter, detect a presence and deter before any contact.

We offer them to organisers of events in venues open to the public, to owners of wooded estates, to clients building villas and chalets, and to warehouse operators. Most often these services complement residential security or an event deployment; they can also be ordered on their own.

Our SSIAP 1 and 2 fire safety officers hold a current diploma and the CNAPS professional licence. Our K9 handlers work with an identified, insured and registered dog, in accordance with French regulations on the use of dogs in private security.

What is included

  • SSIAP 1 and 2 fire safety officers

Prevention rounds, monitoring of the fire safety system, alarm verification, assistance with evacuation, reception of the fire brigade. The SSIAP 2 team leader coordinates the deployment.

  • Prevention before doors open

Checks on exits, extinguishers, escape routes and signage before the public arrives, and a fire logbook kept throughout the event.

  • K9 patrols

A handler and dog unit for night patrols on large grounds, wooded estates, building sites and warehouses. The dog detects what an officer alone cannot see.

  • Wide perimeters and events

On an estate or an event site of several hectares, the K9 unit covers the boundaries and the unlit areas while officers hold the entrances.

  • Identified and insured dogs

Every dog is identified, vaccinated, insured and registered. It remains under its handler's control at all times and is never left alone on a site.

  • Logbook and report

Patrols, anomalies, detections and interventions are recorded. You receive a report at the end of each shift, with any points to be dealt with.

How it works

  1. First contact

You describe the site or the event, the period and any regulatory obligation. We call you back within 24 hours and tell you what is required and what is useful.

  2. Site visit

For a public venue, we record the fire-fighting equipment, the escape routes and the sensitive points. For grounds, we walk the perimeter with the handler to set the patrol routes and the areas to cover.

  3. Assignment brief

Posts, hours, qualifications, instructions in the event of a detection or an outbreak of fire, contacts with the emergency services and the site manager. You approve it before the start.

  4. Start of the assignment

The team reports to the site manager, checks the equipment available and begins with a full round. A MAROS manager follows the assignment and remains reachable.

Two levels of service

Experienced officer

Qualified SSIAP 1 and 2 fire safety officers and K9 handlers holding the CNAPS professional licence, with an identified and insured dog. Professional or plain clothes depending on the context, logbook, end-of-shift report, supervision by a team leader. This level suits events in public venues, building sites and night patrols on estates.

Elite tier

For isolated estates, sensitive building sites or events carrying risk, the Elite tier pairs the K9 unit with officers of proven military experience, a thermal camera and thermal binoculars for night patrols, encrypted radio, a reinforced lone-worker device, a panic button linked to our on-call desk and, on request, a surveillance drone for large areas. Briefing and emergency protocol written for the site.

Frequently asked questions

Is a fire safety officer compulsory for my event in France?

It depends on the venue, its category and the expected attendance. In a venue open to the public, the operator or the safety committee may require one. We help you read that obligation and size the team, without adding to it.

Is the dog a risk to my guests or my staff?

No. The dog stays on the lead and under its handler's control at all times. It works on night patrols and perimeters, not among the guests. Its presence deters; it is imposed on nobody.

How much does a K9 handler or a fire safety officer cost?

Every assignment is quoted individually, according to the qualification, the hours and the duration. Nights between 21:00 and 06:00, Sundays, public holidays and requests at less than 48 hours' notice carry a surcharge. We reply within 24 hours.

Can you cover a villa building site for several months?

Yes. A K9 patrol every night at varying times, with checks on fencing, machinery and materials, and a report to the client. The frequency adapts to the progress of the works.
